One year ago my husband and I were hit by an EF3 tornado at Caddo Mounds State Historic Site. That day began a 10 month journey of survival and recovery as Victor slowly began healing from a spinal cord injury. In the middle of figuring out how to survive and adapt to new physical challenges, I had to figure out how to make sure that our home was accessible and ready for the day he would get to return home.
